Wellington Wines is a customer-driven cellar supplying the national and international market with a broad range of quality wines. Remaining true to the terroir and people of Wellington, these wines are delivered both in bulk and bottle format.
Wellington Wines came into being in 2013 when three major co-operatives in the village joined forces. Bovlei, Wamakersvallei and the Wellington Co-Operative all have a long and impressive history of serving their community and producing quality wines. In fact, the Wellington Co-operative Winery is the second oldest in the country, founded in 1906, Bovlei in 1907 and Wamakersvallei in 1941.
The newly renovated Bovlei building on the Bains Kloof Road serves as the official tasting room for Wellington Wines. Here our wines can be tasted in a homely atmosphere with a beautiful view over the valley.
