DIEMERSFONTEIN

Diemersfontein is known for its beauty, informal elegance, and grace - an idyllic country destination only 45 minutes' drive from Cape Town and is situated near the Cape's famous Wine Routes. We warmly invite you to share with us the tranquil spirit of Diemersfontein - whether you are conferencing here, marrying here, staying for a few days of leisure (or even permanently) - or taking some of it home in a bottle!

Oude Wellington. Friendly Cape Dutch wine and brandy estate where award winning wines can be bought at affordable prices. Cellar tours and wine tastings. Restaurant and accommodation.
Kleinfontein. Kleinfontein is a 'garagiste' winery located an hour out of Cape Town near Wellington and produces quality Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a blend of the two cultivars and from 2009, a Rose. The first vintage was in 2003. The one hectare vineyard was planted in 1998, a small vineyard enabling close personal attention and in consequence high quality grapes. Kleinfontein uses a wine consultant(who consistently produces 4 star wines) to ensure quality in all respects and the total production is 350 to 450 cases x 12 bottles per year. As well as wine into South Africa exports are to Ireland, UK, Germany, Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania.
Wamakersvallei Winery. The history of Wamakersvallei Wine cellar dates back to 1941, when a group of grape-growers in the area founded this central cellar for the pressing of their grapes. Each wine in this range tells a proud story of specially selected grapes and meticulous wine-making methods. You can taste the rewards in every bottle.
