SAVINGNAC DE VERSAILLESSAVINGNAC DE VERSAILLES

TASTING & SALES
Always welcome but by prior arrangement.

SAVINGNAC de VERSAILLES is made on the small historic farm, Versailles, in the centre of Wellington belonging to Roger and Dawn Jorgensen.

The land was originally granted to Huguenot settlers in the late 1600’s and wine and brandy have been the mainstay of the region ever since.

Roger and Dawn personally tend the tiny patch of ancient Chenin Blanc on the banks of the Kromme River that winds through the farm.

DIEMERSFONTEIN

Diemersfontein is known for its beauty, informal elegance, and grace - an idyllic country destination only 45 minutes' drive from Cape Town and is situated near the Cape's famous Wine Routes. We warmly invite you to share with us the tranquil spirit of Diemersfontein - whether you are conferencing here, marrying here, staying for a few days of leisure (or even permanently) - or taking some of it home in a bottle!

Welvanpas. Welvanpas with its picturesque setting, dates back to 1705 and has been the home of the Retief family for 7 generations - amongst them Voortrekker leader Piet Retief. Location, soil and climate all contributes to the fine wines produced in the cellar which has played host to more than 100 harvests.
Alkmaar Boutique Winery. You will find Alkmaar Boutique Vineyard amidst the foothills of the Hawequa mountains, in the Blouvlei valley near Wellington. It’s a beautiful place with a near perfect terroir, clean and pure. The winters are cold and the summers hot. Grapes seem to love it here. It might be the Glenrosa shale, the cosy micro-vineyard, or the way the midnight mountain breeze takes the edge off the African heat. Whatever it is, it brings out the best in them, and the vines yield a very comfortable average of four to six tons per hectare
Wamakersvallei Winery. The history of Wamakersvallei Wine cellar dates back to 1941, when a group of grape-growers in the area founded this central cellar for the pressing of their grapes. Each wine in this range tells a proud story of specially selected grapes and meticulous wine-making methods. You can taste the rewards in every bottle.
