Bosman boer vooruit
|

The Queen sips Nabygelegen Wines
On Wednesday 6 June 2012 Nabygelegen’s
Chenin Blanc 2008 and Snow Mountain
Pinot Noir 2009 were served at the
Queens Jubilee Lunch at Marlboro
House in London.
 |
The menu for this special occasion was a
starter of Brie and Avocado Terrine, a
main of Wild Sea Bass and for Dessert an
Apple Crumble Soufflé served with Apple
Pie Ice Cream.
In an article in The Telegraph it was
quoted “The meal was accompanied by
South African Wines.” Along with the
Queen at the tabel were representatives
of the Commonwealth Heads of State.
Not only is this a coup for Nabygelegen
and Wellington but also for South
Africa. |

Diemersfontein
rolls out
the barrel in Sussex
Pinotage on Tap and Diemersfontein
rolled out a barrel of their famous
coffee Pinotage and flew in musicians
from the Cape to remind ex-pats of home
comforts, nostalgia, Afrikaans, song and
dance and raising the glass. A team of
chefs produced platters of home-style
cooking such as bobotie, potjiekos and
malva pudding.
A shuttle bus brought participants from
the nearest railway station on the
London-Brighton line and gave out goody
bags filled with water bottles, biltong,
beef rolls and the all important
Pinotage on Tap wine glass.
Revellers sat on hay bales basking in
the sun, listening to South African
musicians: Lonesome Dave Ferguson,
Albert Frost and Robin Auld, eating
their fill and sipping Pinotage straight
from the barrel. Viva South Africa! Viva
Pinotage!

Wellington produsentekelder takel volhoubaarheidsprojekte
|
Boomprojek Tot op hede is sowat 40
inheemse bome angeplant op die oop erf
langs die kelder. Elke jaar gaan daar
nog 10-20 bome bygevoeg word en dit sal
op die langtermyn Wellington Wines se
koolstofvoetspoor help verminder en
terselfdertyd ‘n pragtige arboretum skep
vir die dorp en vir Stokerryweg ‘n
groener voorkoms gee.
