Hit the dirt with Gravel Travel 2011

Written by  Wellington Tourism

HIT THE DIRT AND DRINK THE WINE

It is Gravel Travel time again and this year this top mountain biking event stretches over 2 days – 27 and 28 August. Wine Route producers will be situated in a tent amongst the action and excitement.

This event takes place on farm roads and jeep tracks heading away from Diemersfontein, through the vineyards and farms of Wellington, crossing the Bainskloof Pass road and heading towards Groenberg Mountain. The diverse route is jam-packed with beautiful views, fynbos, historic farmsteads, stream crossings and vineyard settings, passing many of the local award-winning cellars.  Check the website for video clips of single track as they are built!
