Langkloof Roses Healthy Lifestyle Family Festival

Join us for a Healthy Lifestyle Family Festival on Friday, 1 September 2019, 10:00 at Langkloof Rose Farm, outside Wellington.

With a combination of hands-on activities and demonstrations, step-by-step guides and powerful notes, you will leave Langkloof inspired!

Two interactive talks, two hands-on workshops, a children’s programme, an organic market, picnic lunch and live music!

Why do we have to experience health problems before we change our lifestyle to a wholesome way of living?
Come and learn how to enjoy abundant health through PRACTICAL tips and topics! E.g.:
– living without synthetic chemicals
– helping your body function optimally whilst enjoying good food,
– rewriting your genetic coding
– understanding the connection between your body and what you think and feel
– making fermented foods for good gut flora/probiotics

1) Workshop on replacing harmful synthetic chemicals in your fridge, pantry, cleaning cupboard and laundry with wholesome affordable alternatives
Aritha Kruger (Heilsame Huis)
A home educating mom from Somerset West, passionate about wholefood nutrition and creating an environment where a family can thrive in body, spirit and soul. Aritha will hunt down the hidden chemicals in our houses and equip us to stay the course.

3) Intentional Lifestyle
Jenina Conradie (Wholelistix)
With healing and wholeness as a passion, Jenina expresses it as a manual lymphatic drainage therapist. She honours the Creator and Restorer of Life and practise His principles in her life and practise. [Theological degree + Diploma in Somatology]
Jenina will discuss optimizing health from a lymphatic perspective and connecting emotionally-spiritually with your body to become more connected and aware of your yourself.

4) Fermentation Revival: Kombucha and other Friendly Ferments
Kari Doorduin (Kombukarious)
After a total breakdown a few years ago, Kari discovered the power of probiotics on her healing journey. She started to make her own kombucha. After supplying various shops in and around Paarl, the business has grown to branching out into other fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir-cheese. Kari will explore all these hands on with you.

Bring picnic blankets, plates, etc. and buy fantastic wholesome organically grown farm produce at various stalls (or bring your own).
Sourdough bread, spreads and pâtés, droëwors, biltong, cheese, kombucha, dried and fresh fruit, nuts and seeds, fresh vegetable juices, sauerkraut, kimchi, homemade and organic cakes and bakes, coffee, chemical-free household and beauty products, essential oils, clothing from natural fabrics, etc.
